This Privacy Policy explains how Front Row ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Front Row mobile application (the "App"). Please read it carefully. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
We do not collect any of the following:
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, profiling for commercial purposes, or sale to third parties.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
| Processing activity | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Providing core App functionality to guests (on-device only) | Legitimate interests — to deliver the service you are using |
| Creating and managing your account; syncing cloud data | Performance of a contract (our Terms of Service) |
| Responding to support or feedback requests | Legitimate interests — to improve our service and assist users |
| Complying with legal obligations | Legal obligation |
You may withdraw consent or object to processing based on legitimate interests at any time by contacting us (see Section 12). Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers ("sub-processors"), and only to the extent necessary to operate the App:
| Service | Purpose | Data shared |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Authentication and cloud database | Email address, hashed password, profile data, event text metadata (signed-in users only) |
| GeoNames | City search and coordinate resolution | Partial text you type into the city search field (e.g., "Los Ang") |
| Mapbox / Apple Maps / Google Maps | Rendering your events on a map | Approximate map viewport coordinates (tile requests) |
| Apple App Store / Google Play | App distribution and in-app review prompts | Governed by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies |
| Google Forms | Optional user feedback collection | Any information you voluntarily enter in the external form |
| Expo | Build tooling and over-the-air updates | Minimal diagnostic data as part of update delivery |
We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our legal rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a legal request.
All data is stored exclusively on your device. We have no access to it. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data removes all locally stored information.
Your profile and event text metadata are stored in our cloud database (hosted by Supabase) for as long as your account exists. Photos attached to events remain on your device only.
When you permanently delete your account through the in-app option, your cloud-stored event records and authentication credentials are deleted. Residual data may persist in automated backups for up to 30 days, after which it is purged.
Feedback submitted via Google Forms is retained according to Google's data retention policies and is used solely to improve the App.
